Our Team
At Endodontics of the Triad, our team is the backbone of the exceptional care we provide. With over 25 years of experience, our skilled professionals bring unmatched expertise, compassion, and efficiency to every patient interaction.
Clinical Director: Jeannie
Jeannie is from Summerfield, NC and has worked in the field of endodontics for 29 years. Jeannie runs every aspect of the clinical practice, and is the heart and soul of Endodontics of the Triad. Jeannie does all our ordering and management of equipment and supplies, compliance, sterilization, maintenance, repairs, and clinical staff training. She’s even cross-trained and is incredible at front desk tasks as well. Jeannie can and does do it all!
In addition to running the entire office Jeannie is an incredibly compassionate and professional chairside assistant. Her wonderful bedside manner puts patients at ease. Patients who need a little extra TLC are beyond fortunate to have Jeannie taking care of them.
Jeannie is a loving daughter to Kay and Ken and is mom to her fur-baby Gunner.
Front Office Manager: Christy
Christy has had an exceptional career in the field of endodontics since 1999. She started as a chairside assistant before moving to the front desk 26 years ago. Christy manages the business side of our practice. Her expertise in scheduling, billing, and insurance that are unique to endodontics ensure that our services are accessible for our patients. Christy will move mountains to make sure that every patient who needs us gets seen ASAP, for same day emergency treatment if necessary. She communicates with our referring practices to make sure that the experience from referral to treatment to return for restorative care is completely coordinated and seamless.
Christy and her husband Dwayne love raising their 2 kids, Ayden and Karlie, in the country. Managing their soccer, track and dance schedules keep them busy. Christy loves good food and vacations with her family.
Lead Dental Assistant: Renee
Renee is from Eden, NC and continues to raise her family there. She graduated as a DAII from GTCC in 1999, and has been a specialist assistant in endodontics for 27 years. She has worked chairside with Dr. Applebaum for the past 17 years. No one ever wished their root canal would take longer, and Renee will make sure that it is done as efficiently yet precisely as possible. Renee has extraordinary expertise in all aspects of clinical endodontics, including testing and diagnosis, 2D and 3D radiology, and sterilization/infection control. Renee ensures that all of our clinical supplies surpass the highest compliance standards in the industry.
Renee and her husband Ronnie have 2 wonderful children, their daughter Emily, son Landon, and a daughter-in-law Mackenzie. Emily interns at our office on school breaks, and she plans to follow in her mom’s footsteps and pursue a career in dentistry.
Financial Coordinator: Lauren
Lauren lives in Kernersville, NC and graduated as a DA1 from the Piedmont Dental Assistant Program in 2019. She has worked in endodontics with Dr Applebaum for 6 years. Lauren is the smiling face of our practice, and ensures that everyone who walks through our doors is treated with professionalism, kindness and respect.
Lauren coordinates the financial aspects of treatment for our patients. She is an insurance expert, and will work with patients to maximize their benefits while still receiving excellent care. Lauren also handles the human resources for our office and helps with our marketing.
Dental Assistant: Chrissy
Chrissy was born and raised in Rockingham Country and she continues to live in Stoneville, NC. She is a 1999 graduate of the GTCC DAII class. She worked in Endodontics for 15 years (and with Dr. Applebaum for 6 years) before taking a decade long detour into general dentistry. We are grateful for the broader dental knowledge that Chrissy brings to our practice, but we are so happy that she returned to her “roots” in endodontics at our practice.
Chrissy and her husband Brandon have 2 wonderful sons, a daughter-in-law, and a fur-baby named Kooper.
Dental Assistant: Kristy
Kristy lives in Stokesdale, NC and works at our practice 2 days a week. She has been in the field of Endodontics for 31 years and has worked with Dr. Applebaum for 18 of those. Kristy’s path to endodontics started as a patient, and then she was office-trained back in the 1990s. We are so fortunate to have such an experienced professional on our team. Kristy is a superwoman, who somehow finds time to work with us while raising (and homeschooling!) her 6 wonderful children.
Comfort Dog: Lady
Lady Piper Magnolia of Hyde Park, STR was born in August 2025 in Greensboro, NC to Birdie and Maverick of Hyde Park Cavaliers. She belongs to Dr. Applebaum and her family. Lady is a pure-bred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a breed well-recognized for being exceptionally suited as therapy and emotional support dogs. In fact, the breed originally was called “comfort spaniels” until the 17th century. Lady is still developing social skills in our office environment. She completed her AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy certification and is working toward her AKC Canine Good Citizen status. Lady is already a very good girl, and a model co-worker.
